Specialized, tailored therapy to help you and your family thrive.
How is A Healing Place different from other practices? A Healing Place has been around since 2007. Our clinicians love what we do and when a clinician joins A Healing Place, they stay for a long time. No more of starting with a clinician then finding out they are leaving the practice 2 sessions later.
Services:
Do you have any groups? We are currently accepting people for two, eight-week groups: a New Parents Group and a group for people in their 20's and 30's experiencing chronic pain or illness. Do you support poly families? Yes, our therapists who work with couples have specialized training to support poly families and we will not try to talk you out of the relationships that are important to you.
Financial Questions: Do you accept insurance? We are out of network with all insurances and are happy to provide you with a superbill to get any reimbursement your plan allows. We also work with Victim's Compensation if you have been approved for reimbursement from them. Why don't you take insurance? We pride ourselves in providing tailored treatment made for you. This means: coming at a pace and for a time period that works for you, allowing for shorter or longer sessions as needed, and working cooperatively with family and care coordinators as needed. Taking insurance would require not only allowing the insurance company to dictate what they believe your needs are and what kind of treatment we can provide, but also sharing your confidential information with them and, in some cases, even using their telehealth platforms so that they can monitor what happens in your session. We believe your sessions and treatment should belong to you and your therapist so you can find what works best for your needs. What are your rates? Typical sessions are 45-50 minutes and cost $150; 75-80 minutes sessions are $225; Initial appointments are $180; EMDR Intensives are $200 for every 60 minutes with the length of time to be determined by the therapist and client. We also offer pro-rated sessions if you have an agreed upon shorter session with your therapist. Do you offer sliding scale? We offer a limited number of sliding scale appointments. Please check with our Intake Coordinator to see if you may qualify and to learn if we have any current sliding scale openings.
